"ORPHEUS AND EURYDICE" , THE HEARTAGRAM'S FIRST E.P.
The idea to create new tracks is born from the need to measure our artistic skills as composers and not just as element in a tribute band. The e.p. Orpheus and Eurydice represents a sort of experiment, our first real approach to the inedited music. We were really uncertain if our tracks could be liked, if some musical choices could be loved from the many people who always follow us but who know us as a HIM tribute. Our work has been enthusiastically welcomed , in a way that we could never expect, everything is gong beyond our best expectations, with the birth of 3 street teams (Canada, France and Italy) totally dedicated to us and the diffusion of some of the premix tracks in several MySpaces all over the world. Then we are really satisfied by the product and the affection of our fans who help us and support all of the time. The success the premix had pushed us to transform a home product into something more incisive, accurate and professional, but this meant a slip of some days in the e.p. release . The creation of the cd is under the great attention of Carlo Carbone (Sound engineer, voice and bass of Art Inferno, ex Journey Through the dark) at Music Ruines Scenario, all the process is nearly to end and in September it will be available at a special price as promotional sell.We’ve been tempted for long to create another musical genre called “Romantik Rock”, with a certain HIM footprint but with substantial variations above all about the sound that could be defined 80’s for what concerns the bass and Dream for the effect we used for the execution of the keyboards and synth (which have a great part in our genre), with particular guitars more metal orientated , but temperate with a constant utilization of a 12 strings guitar. Really frequent the backing vocals. We didn’t really like the idea to follow exactly Ville and the guy’s steps, perhaps because the 5 finns are a point that can’t be reached for us. In fact, nevertheless the release of inedited tracks, we have no intention to leave behind our project as a tribute band which rewards us so much but above all amuses us since many years ago.
The ep is composed by six inedited tracks and a cover (Wicked game). Plus the outro, The wheel of time is the beginning of a new track that probably will be included in the next album which will be called Romantik Rock (we already have some tracks in live jamming), and will be characterized with the help of our new keyboard player Giuseppe Guerrera who entered the line up few days ago. Naturally the dominant theme of our songs is love, in all its several faces. The choose of the title is due to our deep love for the myths and in particular way for the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice that charms us since forever, for the dark aspects of the story and because underlines the strength of a love able to defeat death itself.
In the fall we think we will reach several cities with a live show that will include HIM covers and our inedited tracks, then…see you soon!
